About Us

Club  Profile

The Club was founded in 1995 by Derrick Hudson in Yorktown Heights with seven girls and boys. These children ages 6 – 18, enjoyed the daily practice sessions and competing in local track meets. This group of athletes would later be known as our founding members. Little did we know that this was the beginning of one of the most successful and diverse youth clubs in the New York Metropolitan Area. Not only did these athletes become competitive on the national level, but more importantly, they improved in social awareness and excelled academically.

The New York Starz Track Club serves all children in Westchester and surrounding counties without regard to gender, race, religion or socio-economic status. We have a diverse membership consistent with the sport of track and field. Community youth are generally invited to tryout without regards to their physical ability.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to engage community youth in meaningful and worthwhile experiences that will positively impact all aspects of their lives socially, academically and physically.  The Club uses the sport of track and field to promote physical fitness in a positive environment, while providing an opportunity among boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18 years old to participate at appropriate levels of competition.  Our aim is to challenge each child to improve in all areas of their lives and strive to be their very best in a challenging world.
